Don’t miss Benedict Cumberbatch & John Malkovich in our new interview series “Breaking The Ice.” And check back every Wednesday for new videos!
Cumberbatch gives one of his best performances as the awkward, socially inept but brilliant mathematician. “He just gave and gave,” says Tyldum. “We’re both perfectionists and we both like to push things, so that was why I’m so proud of the result and of how good he is.”
Just here - camera not even on and it’s Turing, not Cumberbatch, in these shots.
The man is a master
This is one of my favourite shots. Like, ever.
Dat smile!! Oh Benedict you do hold my heart….
Roger Allam answered a few fan question for Hampstead Theatre’s production of Seminar. Among them were to CP questions.
Which is your favourite episode of Cabin Pressure and why? @kathhalcrow
Probably the very last one because of the very funny and rather beautiful way…

If anyone in the UK can’t wait a bit longer to see Ben as Turing on November… Your prayers have just been answered!
Yesterday, I got sent a DM by the very lovely mdarbycharles (hope it’s okay posting this!) on Twitter about a PREVIEW SCREENING of The Imitation Game on MONDAY NOVEMBER 10th at 6:30pm in SELECTED ODEON CINEMAS. She very kindly sent me the link to this website
-> http://showfilmfirst.com and it takes you to a page where you can book tickets. The code to use is “982360” and you will have to register/login.
Now, tickets for this screening are FREE and it is in partnership with Elle (give us the damn cover already!!) and there will be a handful of cinemas around the UK screening the film 4 days early on the above date.
After you’ve selected/booked your tickets, you should receive an email confirming it. (Check spam/junk if you can’t find it - mark as safe!) Print your ticket out as I know some cinemas I go to have an awful time with digital ones.
Don’t think there’s anything else to explain… I’m sure Elle (and Ben too, duh!) would want the cinemas full of Cumbercollective people!!
Of course, you’ll be wanting to see TIG again if you go on NOVEMBER 14!!
